Shape the financial strategy of a $1B food platform scaling toward $2B+—at the heart of North America’s protein industry.
About the Company
Our client is a Canadian-based protein manufacturing platform with over $1 billion in revenue and nine operating companies across Canada and the U.S. With deep roots in foodservice and retail, our client has grown through a strategic acquisition model, scaling entrepreneurial businesses without compromising their core strengths.
Today, the organization is owned by one of Canada’s leading specialty food companies with $6B in revenue and a track record of successful M&A. With over 1,000 employees and a highly decentralized model, our client is investing in shared services, systems integration, and enterprise finance to enable its next phase of growth.
The Mandate
Reporting to the CFO, the Vice President of Finance will be the strategic right hand in a lean, high-impact corporate team. You’ll lead enterprise FP&A, working capital strategy, systems transformation, and financial reporting across a complex matrix of nine entities.
This is a builder role: you’ll operationalize finance for scale, lead Sage X3 integration, and create structure across shared services, dashboards, and compliance. You’ll manage a Director of FP&A, oversee IT, and collaborate with controllers across the platform to influence performance—without direct authority.
This is a rare opportunity for a finance leader who thrives in ambiguity, sees around corners, and wants to help architect a $2B+ business from the inside out.
