This newly created position is designed to lead IT transformation and cloud–based operations on an international scale while being mentored as the primary potential successor to the Chief Information Officer (CIO).
Your Impact you will have:
Reporting directly to the Chief Information Officer, The Vice President, IT Business Applications will lead the strategic IT transformation of our client’s multi-billion-dollar retail organisation as it embarks on a comprehensive outsourcing initiative. The candidate will be pivotal in shaping and executing the technology roadmap to align with the company’s evolving business model, overseeing the end-to-end IT transformation process, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. They will leverage cutting-edge technologies to optimize operational efficiency and drive innovation, including:
- Successfully lead the IT transformation.
- Lead IT outsourcing initiative.
- Obtain a clear understanding of the business and IT Model
- Develop positive relationships and credibility with the business’s executives

What we are looking for:
The ideal candidate will have accumulated 15+ years of progressive experience spearheading technology management and transformation, drawing upon proven experience as a senior IT leader, ideally at the Vice President level; this candidate brings a distinguished track record of steering successful IT transformations within large-scale organizations.
This individual is not just tech-savvy but has a deep understanding of business processes, aligning IT strategies seamlessly with broader business goals. They strive to do more than keep up with the latest tech trends—they set them—and remain at the forefront of emerging technologies, cloud solutions, and the entire digital transformation scene. Candidates must have the following experience to be considered:
- 15+ years of progressive technology leadership experience.
- Demonstrated success leading IT transformation in similar-sized/scale organizations, including cloud-based operations.
- Successful experience outsourcing complex Information Technology.
- Executive succession potential.
