As part of a global private equity firm, our client is aggressively modernizing its technology stack, with Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O live in two banners and a major rollout planned its third banner.
The Mandate
The Senior Manager, Business Applications will lead the evolution and performance of business applications across Finance, Retail, and Supply Chain. Reporting to the VP, Purchasing, you will oversee a team of three and serve as both a technical and strategic leader in the enhancement of ERP and POS systems, primarily Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O.
This role is both hands-on and high-impact, tasked with ensuring application performance, driving operational efficiency, and aligning technology solutions with real business outcomes across all banners.
What Success Looks Like
In your first year:

Own and enhance the ERP roadmap with a focus on business value and system adoption.

Strengthen internal delivery capabilities and reduce vendor reliance by upskilling the applications team.

Act as an escalation point and solution architect for complex system challenges.

Drive successful support, upgrades, and implementation planning—including D365 rollout.

Ensure alignment between IT and business functions, especially Finance and Supply Chain.
Ideal Profile
-
7+ years in ERP and business applications leadership, ideally with Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O.

3+ years leading cross-functional teams and managing complex retail implementations.

Strong technical foundation in ERP, POS, cloud integrations, and digital transformation.

Adept at solving business problems through technology—equally comfortable with hands-on work and strategic planning.

Experience in retail, apparel, or sporting goods is an asset.

Degree in a relevant discipline required; D365 certifications a plus.
