About the Company
Our client is a thriving private equity-owned manufacturer based in Toronto with multiple plants in Windsor Ontario. Our client is seeking a Director of Human Resources for their 2 soon to be 3 plants in Windsor production facilities with ~400 employees to join the local and HR leadership teams. The Windsor Plants are on the verge of a substantial expansion. This is a newly created role designed to directly influence the future of the company by partnering with the leadership team to drive continued growth.

As a seasoned HR leader, you possess the unique ability to provide both strategic and functional leadership, actively shaping the company’s evolving culture and fostering the acquisition and development of the next generation of leadership. Your genuine passion for putting people first and driving growth in a dynamic business environment sets you apart.
Preference will be given to candidates with prior exposure to a family business environment, as your understanding of the dynamics in such settings will be invaluable.
The impact you will have:
As the HR Leader for the Windsor facilities, you will embark on a mission to build an HR function that is not just a support unit but a strategic partner integral to the company’s growth. Your mandate includes taking charge of all facets of Human Resources, leading significant change initiatives to drive organizational growth, implementing effective strategies, and fostering cultural transformation.
Collaborating closely with business units and the senior leadership team, you will play a crucial role in achieving our client’s goals while taking ownership of all areas of HR, including operations, talent acquisition, engagement, management, training and development, rewards, retention, and culture.
What are we looking for?
Candidates must have the following experience to be considered:
- 10+ years of progressive generalist Human Resource experience.
- 4+ years leading an HR professionals
- Experience in an entrepreneurial environment.
- Experience in building an HRIS Implementation
- Experience with a manufacturing/industrial workforce.
- A bachelor’s degree and the completion of a professional designation program (CHRP or equivalent).
