Who You Are:
Are you an operational professional with a passion for making a tangible impact on a growing organization? We seek a General Manager of Transportation & Fleet who will speak with inspiration and passion for the business. Your ability to implement automated systems, tools, and processes will be crucial in driving ongoing success. With a track record of delivering system improvements and managing change, you will be a key leader with an adaptable and innovative mindset, a great team player, and exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
As a tenacious and focused leader, you will have a strong operations/general management background, ideally in scaling high-growth companies in the transportation/logistics/freight industry. Your vision and innovative spirit will uncover opportunities beyond the initial strategy, elevating our client’s culture.
Your Impact
You will be transformative, providing hands-on support to our team across multiple locations. What Are We Looking For?
To be considered for this impactful role, you must possess the following qualifications and experiences:
- 7+ years of operations and general management experience, ideally in a recycling/waste management company or a people-focused industrial business.
- 3+ years of leadership experience, including talent development, training, coaching/mentoring, and team building.
- Proven track record in driving profitability through operational excellence.
- Comfort working with budgets, payroll, revenue, and forecasting, showcasing your finance acumen.
- Travel: This is an in-person role requiring travel between three facilities.
