The Impact You Will Have:
Within the Risk Management Consulting, Placement, & Reinsurance team, the Commercial P&C leader will provides leadership across the organization and supports consulting engagements and client and insurance/reinsurance market relationships. Additional duties and responsibilities include:
- Develop client consulting proposals and reports based on specific client engagements.
- Lead client relationships and internal resources to execute engagement deliverables, including outreach, follow-up, meeting coordination, and participation.
- Provide P&C subject matter expertise and guidance to internal P&C actuarial and consulting teams.
- Keep abreast of new insurance products and coverages within the industry and align with client applications.
- Identify and support new client risk consulting and program management opportunities.
- Provide P&C commercial insurance support involving alternative risk management, including captive feasibility studies and implementations.
- Utilize commercial insurance expertise to help develop strategic planning for new opportunities and development.
- Participate and support new and expanded business activities.
- Support reinsurance placements and proactively manage emerging requirements.
- Manage reinsurer communication and present market findings to clients.
- Develop and assess new reinsurance market capacity as required.

Additionally, they thrive off client-facing engagements and can build and manage client relationships with finesse.
In terms of skills, the ideal candidate will possess excellent project management abilities, enabling them to effectively manage client engagements from start to finish while meeting deadlines and budgetary constraints. They have a strong aptitude for internal collaboration, working closely with cross-functional teams to provide subject matter expertise and guidance in support of engagement execution.

- 10+ years of progressive experience within commercial insurance, with demonstrated expertise and specialization in all lines of commercial property & casualty coverage.
- Proven track record of leading client engagements and strategic initiatives, including building an industry network and business development.
- Exceptional communication, impeccable writing, and proposal development skills.
- Understanding risk management, alternate risk management strategies, captives, and primary or reinsurance markets is a definite asset.
