Who You Are:
Are you a finance executive with a track record of driving success and growth within dynamic organizations? As a critical member of the finance organization, reporting to the CFO, you will take charge of accounting, reporting, and analysis activities related to Merchandising, including Inventory, Cost of Goods Sold, Distribution, and Gross Profit. Your leadership and direction will establish efficient and effective processes and controls. Collaboration with finance, merchandising, supply chain, and financial planning and analysis teams will be vital for success.
What Are We Looking For?
To be considered for this impactful role, you must possess the following qualifications and experiences:
- 7+ years of progressive experience within a finance function, with a strong analytical focus, ideally within a high-growth, multi-unit retail, CPG, or Distribution industry, emphasizing inventory management.
- 5+ years of leadership experience, including people management, talent development, coaching/mentoring, and team building.
- Proven ability to build strong relationships across diverse business stakeholders.
- Experience in a large publicly traded company and knowledge of internal control requirements for Canadian publicly traded companies.
- Demonstrated success in process optimization and re-engineering, including the implementation of new systems (e.g., ERP) and KPIs.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance and Accounting, alongside a CPA designation.
- Willing to work in a truly hybrid role (Home/office).
