Who You Are:
The ideal candidate for the role is a deeply experienced and technically proficient individual with a deep background in the aluminum extrusion process. This candidate will possess a strong engineering foundation, potentially holding engineering positions in their previous roles and having managed day-to-day processes.
They must have a keen eye for process optimization, the ability to innovate and excel at correcting methods and processes, lead teams, and maintain industry standards. Knowledge of aluminum properties, as well as an understanding of quality control and maintenance practices, is crucial.
This candidate should have a proven track record of driving continuous improvement initiatives to uphold product standards and meet customer requirements whilst still effectively considering resource management, capacity planning, and leading projects and departments to optimize resource efficiency and drive engineers to improve the processes and efficiency of overall operations.
Your Impact
The Chief Engineer, reporting to the Director of Engineering, is a newly created role that holds a crucial leadership position managing the entire engineering department and is exceptionally well-versed in aluminum extrusion. The primary objectives include overseeing the development and maintenance of technical operations. Setting and implementing strategies and policies and ensuring the efficiency of their operations. This leadership role oversees an extensive team of Engineers.
What Are We Looking For?
Candidates must have the following experience to be considered:
- Industry Experience: 5+ years of experience in aluminum extrusion.
- Leadership: Proven ability to lead and motivate engineering and technical professionals, fostering a culture of accountability.
- Technical Skills:, Strong proficiency in aluminum extrusion techniques, and metal forming. Knowledge of quality control standards and methodologies relevant to the aluminum extrusion industry.
- Change Management: Engineering excellence, process optimization, Quality assurance, and Equipment manufacturing.
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, preferably in a relevant field of Mechanical, Automotive, or Industrial Engineering.
