Who you are:
The ideal candidate will be an experienced HR leader at a Senior Director or VP level. They will have been exposed during their career to an industrial workforce and appreciate a non-unionized environment. They will align the company’s strategic vision with innovative talent management programs. This creative and upbeat leader will provide both strategic and functional leadership while shaping the company’s evolving culture and driving the acquisition and development of the next generation of leadership.

The impact you will have:
This is a pivotal role newly created to directly influence the future of Weston Forest Products by partnering with the CEO, Steve Rhone to drive continued growth. As the head of Human Resources for the company, you have a mandate to build an HR function that is seen as a strategic partner and integral to the growth of the company.
You will be responsible for all facets of Human Resources and will lead significant change initiatives that impact organizational growth, strategy implementation, and cultural transformation.
You will strategically partner with business units, and the senior leadership team to meet Weston Forest Product’s goals and will own the success of all areas of HR, including operations, talent acquisition, engagement, management, training and development, rewards, retention, and culture.
What are we looking for?
- 15+ years of broad and deep HR leadership experience.
- Experience in manufacturing, distribution or a related industry. Experience with privately-owned companies preferred.
- Deep technical HR expertise and experience overseeing the full HR suite including Talent Acquisition, Management, Training and Organizational Development, Compensation and Benefits, HR Operations, Strategy and HR Business Partnering.
- Practical exposure to planning and driving transformation as it relates to organizational design, operational efficiencies, people capabilities and culture change.
- HRIS selection and implementation experience.
